David Collins
Accompanist & Assistant Artistic Director
A native of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, David has performed throughout Michigan and Wisconsin and has appeared in chamber music series in North Carolina, Colorado, Oregon, Tennessee, and across New England. He holds a degree in composition from Western Michigan University, a degree in collaborative piano from the University of Wisconson at Madison, and a doctorate in collaborative piano from the New England Conservatoty of Music in Boston where he studied with Irma Vallecillo. He recently served on the collaborative piano faculty of the University of North Carolina, the opera coaching staff at NEC, and the accompanying staffs of Boston Conservatory and Boston University. David spent four years as the pianist and assistant conductor of the MIT concert chorale, and has also worked as a coach and repetiteur for Boston Opera Collaborative and Lakes Regional Opera (NH). He currectly teaches piano and conducts the concert choir at Lesley University in Cambridge. David maintains a private piano and vocal coaching studio at his home in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Sam is a rising senior at Pingree School in South Hamilton and has been with YOCNE since 2007. He is participated in the Boston University Tanglewood Institute voice program this summer (2011). He has been appointed Choral Scholar at St. Paul's Church, Harvard Square, Cambridge, and he hopes to study voice performance at universty.
